Turhan Özen

Turhan Özen’s 30+ year work experience involves sales, marketing, business development iin aviation, logistics and supply chain related areas. After graduating from Galatasaray High School, he began studying at the Department of Management at Bogazici University. Later, he got his Executive MBA from KOÇ University.

He started his early career in the sales and logistics departments of the KOÇ Group’s affiliates in the automotive sector where he later became one of the first Logistics Managers of the group. In 2000, he started at TNT Logistics Türkiye from green field where he worked as Business Development head, then Distribution Operations Group Manager and Operations Director.

Between 2012 and 2014, he was occupied as Vice President of Business Development & Sales at CEVA Balkans-Middle East and Africa Region. Later in 2014 he was appointed to the position of CEVA Global Health Sector President. He served as the Managing Director of CEVA Logistics Middle East and North Africa region until he joined the Turkish Airlines in October 2016. He became the first Chief Cargo Officer of Turkish Airlines. During his tenure Turkish Cargo grew threefold and placed in global top three after ranking 22nd in 2016. He acted as Chairman of THY Kargo and board member of Sun Express and several other Turkish Airlines affiliates.

He is now the founding partner of C2L Consultancy. He is also acting as Board Member of Istanbul Ekonomi Zirvesi and Vice President of C.I.L.T. (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport) Türkiye.

He is married with two children.
